Hey guys, welcome to our blog! My name is Justin Kahrs my partner Brandon Bollenbach and I are in the beginning stages of turning 8-Bit Brewing Company into a legitimate business. This blog will outline our journey including things like the completion of our 3 sanke keg E-HERMS system, the subsequent upgrade of that system to 3 55 gallon stainless steel drums (putting us at 1.29bbl capacity) as well as other beer related events we attend.
8-Bit as a brand has a long way to go in terms of brand identity, but I believe that begins right now. The recipes we are perfecting now will likely be used years down the road in our brewpub and we want to be able to use them with pride. Maintaining a balance between brewing new and exciting beers while satisfying the customer with a reliable/drinkable beer week after week is what we will strive to attain. We want our laid-back lifestyle to bleed through into the brand, to remind customers that we don't take ourselves too seriously. We want to offer a beer for each kind of beer drinker regardless of whether you're into malty beers, hoppy beers, sour beers, etc.
